Dinner at Las Iguanas - Woking Shopping

Writing about amazing food after you've eaten it has to be the most annoying things ever haha! This week I'm back and talking tapas at Las Iguanas in Woking, Surrey. So who's been to Las Iguanas before? I for one hadn't, and as you might know I'm all for trying new things - this was certainly one of them. I never usually go for spicy or the tapas option when selecting a dinner location but am I glad I decided to mix it up as I had so much fun. For starters I found the whole meal to be more than just food, it was an experience. When I usually go out for meals its the box standard pick your favourite from the menu and enjoy, however tapas introduced the fun factor back into dinner for me. It was so nice interacting, choosing new things off the menu, talking about the food and laughing when if it was too spicy.

Can I just say how underrated cocktails at Las Iguanas are?! I ordered the Pink Passionfruit cocktail and oh my it has to be by far one of the best I've tasted - meaning I would totally head there just for a casual few drinks and some nachos with the girls. After gushing about how amazing the drinks menu was we were excited to head onto food.

We choose tapas, however Las Iguanas also offer burgers and other bits if you're not a big fan of finger food. We selected 5 dishes from the menu and of course added my absolute favourite side... sweet potato fries which went down a treat by the way! The food arrived super quickly by our friendly waitress and my was there lots of it, we found ourselves even having to reorganise the table haha! We then commenced mission tapas, which takes formal dinners completely out of the window. My favourite dish was the chicken peppers and cheese wraps they were absolutely delicious! After we'd enjoyed an amazing tapas selection I couldn't leave without eying up the dessert menu as I have a big sweet tooth. As soon as I saw the menu I instantly knew what I was going to have... churros! They arrived and presented in style with a pink candy striped bag and dipping sauces. I have to say they didn't disappoint and rounded off the meal perfectly!

My favourite thing to make for dinner is reservations...

Diet Coke Beauty Break - Eyeliner Hack

L'Oreal Paris Super Liner Perfect Slim Intense - Boots - £6.99
L'Oreal Paris Super Liner Perfect Blackbuster Intense - Boots - £6.99

Say what?! Yes I know what you're thinking, but trust me it really does work! As you all know I am a massive fan of Diet Coke and L'Oreal so when they teamed up and brought out a couple of eyeliner hacks I just had to give one a go. I always struggle with winged eyeliner and usually end up skipping it from my makeup routine as I find it a little too complex for my liking. When I thought about doing this post I was super worried that it would take me about a million attempts to apply and photograph the perfect liner... however I was pleasantly surprised.

I used the perfect slim edition of the L'Oreal Paris liner and started by peeling off the label from the front of my Diet Coke bottle. I then lined it up to the corner of my eye on a diagonal and traced above the label. This resulted in having a super crisp line with no mistakes what so ever! Its a miracle right? Haha! I then built on the definition and added volume to my liner with the steady tip and guess what... instantly perfect liner! This is a hack everyone needs to know about!

So want to give this a go for yourself? Well Boots have teamed up with Diet Coke & L'Oreal to make this super easy and affordable! Whilst stocks last you can pick up one of the two super liners mentioned above and a 500ml bottle of Diet Coke for only £5 until 29th March.

Further details on the promotion, including T&Cs can be found here:

So what are you waiting for? BRB I've just gone to Boots to stock up...

Mothers Day Gift Guide

Anew Essential Youth Maximising Serum - Avon - £16
Mercury Heart Tealight Holders - Avon - £8
Gigi S-Factor Diamond Dreams Tween Duo - Look Fantastic - £21.15
Carmex Lip Balm Tub - Boots - £2.02
Orly Epix Set  - Nail Polish Direct - £24.90

As Mothers Day is literally just around the corner I thought I'd show you a few treats I picked out that I think my mum is absolutely going to love this Sunday! I love spoiling my mum on Mothers Day as its the perfect way to show her how much I appreciate all of the little things she does for me, like getting the stain out of my favourite LBD... life saver thanks mum! Of course these products are not exclusive to mums, you can give them a try too! One of the best things about still living at home is that I can also have a sneaky try out of these too (sssh don't tell mum haha).

I had in mind that I wanted to gift my mum something that would make her feel pampered and relaxed, so of course I went straight over to the Avon website who have some amazing mothers day goodies. My rose gold obsession did take over my shopping just a smidge haha! I picked up some gorgeous heart tealight holders and a youth maximising serum.

Next I picked up some diamond dreams shampoo and conditioner from TIGI as I've heard amazing things about this stuff making your hair shine for days on end! Of course no pamper package is complete without nail polish so next on the list was the Orly Expix set which brings the comfort of gel nails into your own home. I went for a fresh pastel green colour which will add a bit of spring colour pop into the mix. Finally to round it off my favourite lip care product and its of course the one and only Carmex If you haven't tried this stuff you need to! Cherry loving is all i'm saying!

Remember: There's a reason some people think they can achieve anything... because they listened to their mothers.
